I am signed up for a LTC class in Texas in the middle of November. I have read that I can do the State of Texas Online Application (application questions, affidavits, and payment) before I take the class. I assume this would help speed up the process if I go ahead and do this. Is there a time limit to take the class after the application and fingerprints are done? Do I need the instructor's information for the application? I understand that all of it will have to be sent to the Texas DPS for the license. Is it correct that they use the picture from the driving license for the LTC license?

Do the online application. Enclose a copy of all the forms that you need to submit (there is room for multiple forms to enclose) even if they have them already. I did that and it came back in 11 days.
