I am new to revolver and need you guy help. Can someone please tell me what my Colt king cobra value? The gun shot less than 100 rounds and basically almost new. My dad gave it to me and we still looking for the paper and box at his house.

I will try to add pic from my phone but don't seem to be working.

Those snakes are commanding pretty good money these days. I'd check Gunbroker's completed auctions, and see what they're selling for.

If you can find the original box and paperwork, it will only help add to the value. Beautiful revolver!

Couldn't tell you the value but keep it either way, especially if your dad gave it to you. The snake guns are really cool and only going up in value.

Kinda off the subject, I picked up a 4" Blued .357 COLT PYTHON about a year a half ago for $900.00 from a retired cop! Also serial number dated it 1961. All origin and and in very good condition! grin

I've seen them go from 8-900 all the way up to around 3500. Depending on condition and what it came with would determine if I shot it. I got an extremely clean all original python that I shoot probably shouldn't but what's a gun for to just sit.

I am with you Jhenderson. I don't like to buy have a gun that I don't get to shoot. I probably take it out this weekend with my wife and empty a box or 2.

Shoot it, unless it has zero shots or 5000 through it, the value isn't going to change much in your situation. They are really fun guns to shoot.

X2 on the value. If it was mine, and I felt the need to shoot it, I would shoot 38s and leave the 357s for a different unloader. These 'snake guns' are all increasing in value at an alarming rate. If it was mine, I would carefully clean it and keep my eye out for the box and original grips. Congratulations on your new Colt!
