The time has come to show the world what hunting at night is all about. NIGHT CREW is NOT a show about a "person" hunting. It's NOT a show about a "personality". It's a "night hunting" show about hunting at night that reveals a whole new dimension to whats already the greatest sport on the planet. It will air this coming January on Sportsman channel so set your DVR as I'm confident this is one ride you don't want to miss! https://vimeo.com/185361381

I always said that no one produced better night video than Chris and that is why we at CARNIVORE were more than willing to help him get a start. Chris and Collette are great folks and great friends and I wish them all the luck in the world in this new endeavor. Adios, Gary

Watched the first 2 episodes, I really like it. That is how I think about night hunting right there. Very nice quality footage. Very refreshing.
If I can find a partner tonight (my regular ones are out of pocket) I am going to go try and call this nice blanket of snow we have up here.

Just watched episode 3. I've been a thermal guy for a number of years now and have known and worked with Tyler over that period. He's a great guy. I guess I share/d his initial skepticism. I do like the way the lights cause them to come closer and think it has some validity, but if I had to choose one, give me thermal. In the one scene, where the yote is behind the tree, I believe you would totally miss him with lights only. Prolly would have scanned on by. But he couldn't escape thermal and Tyler had him the whole time. Flip side, we should always be open to learning and I would love to give this a try. I think in certain settings they can coexist.
Awesome production and editing. Very nice feel to the show. Keep up the good work!

Awesome production and editing. Very nice feel to the show. Keep up the good work! Good to hear experience thermal guys having an open mind. My belief is, the "light guys" would benefit the most by adding it to their process to help detect and keep track of animals (while still running their usual scanning light) in areas with uneducated coyotes, but the thermal guys have the "option" to get one in closer than they likely would with even a tiny amount of light. It doesn't take much to blind them for concealment and for the guys who have never hunted that way, there is a learning experience that can benefit both sides to help them kill more down the road. If it aint broke don't fix it, but if If you want to see all the possibilities thats out there in an effort to better your current success, staying open minded and willing to listen to someone like Tyler who's an expert in his field (who knows a vast amount more than we do about thermal) has made us better hunters. Thats a fact! You just have to be "willing" to try, and not let your personal ego get in the way. That goes for anyone including ourself!

It's all good stuff. I hunt a lot and always feel I am still learning. Environment plays a big part in the tools that work on a given set or night. Night before last I was in a more closed in area hunting. Lights would not be beneficial in that setting, because it would be like the tree/yote scene discussed above. However, just a short trip down the road I hunt a 12,000 acre ranch that has varying terrain/environment and 4 1/2 miles of Brazos river frontage. Some of it huge, open pasture with winter wheat this time of year. The lights would be awesome there and coupled with thermal it would be a killing field. I have seen large packs of yotes in those pastures.
You haven't said much about the lights as to their type and construction. I might guess that is coming in a product or whatnot. It had to take some time to figure out what worked best. Info on all that would be interesting.
Anyway, enjoying the show. We all have a lot to learn even if we have been doing this for quite some time.
