3 Days, 3 Hunters, 3 great bucks.... 70K acre ranch outs side Santa Rosa NM
So much trial and error as all three of us had never even seen an Antelope much less hunted one, but we played the cards we could and couldn't have had more fun. I never got a tape on the horns and he had a broken cutter but I am very satisfied with my trophy and ended up with 36lbs of meat. We battled 20-30mph winds all three days. The three of us shot the 3 biggest bucks we saw. We glassed over 15 different bucks and 50 or so does and still didn't see some of the bucks the ranch hands had described to us
Day 1 90 miles of driving, Day 2 75 miles, day 3 50 miles

and finally the pictures

Nice antelope and some of the best game meat. There are many good recipes but one very good way is to marinade antelope chops or steaks in Kraft Italian salad dressing and grill or slow broil it (middle rack in your oven). That buck should make an outstanding shoulder mount, he has the length and is wide. He will go over 14" IMO.
