Given the same gross score, what is your preference? I have a tough decision to make this year.
Thanks all!

Mass and tine length over spread for me. I prefer real estate over air space.

13"+ and tall or 30" wide and short. Variety is the spice of life.

Spread is a direction, quite honestly it ought to be dropped from the equation. My dad is enamored with wide bucks but I'd rather have length in balance to mass.

I like bucks that are symmetrical, narrow and tall with mass throughout.

I'd love to kill a narrow tall buck with good mass.

You say you have a tough decision... It would help if you have a couple of pics that define what you consider narrow and tall or wide and short. I have to say I prefer tall and narrow over wide and short but I've never shot one over 17" wide so if I could get one that's 20"+ I certainly would be tempted...if it had good mass.

If I choose mass, to me that means I sue a 2 pound sack for sausage!
I Feed Indian Corn. The deer love it and all the colors make them stay at the feeder longer.

We have both genetics on our lease and the heavy/narrow/tall racks look more appealing to me. For whatever reason on our place the wide bucks (20+ inches) seldom get split brows or much other trash points as the narrow/taller racked bucks The main frame 8's on our place generally carry the most mass

Thanks for all of the feedback. I don't have any pictures to post for now, but stxranchman pretty much nailed it. I'm with the tall and narrow crowd, but I've also never put a wide boy on the wall.

If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.
