Hi guys,

We had one of our most exciting and memorable hunts for the year filmed. It was an incredible opportunity and honor to be the guide on a hunt like this. It wasn't easy and don't be fooled by the video, we worked our tails off. It was a pure walk'n'stalk hunt.
Just for info sake, this old bull was well past his breeding age but actively keeping the younger bulls from mating with the females.
Not a single piece of this animal was wasted and we donated a hind quarter to a local primary school, which was cool.

Enjoy the video!

That's awesome, what a neat animal to get to hunt. Congrats to all involved in it's harvest.

Arrow was recovered inside the gut. It went straight through the heart and kept going. An incredible front shot. Which for bow hunting is the ideal point of impact for the most effective kill shot.

I had never really thought about it, but with their eyes being so high off the ground, it must be incredibly difficult to sneak up close to a giraffe. One thing I've noticed, and I'm sure you have too, is that hunting around those turbines you get an accurate real time wind direction. That's about the only good thing I can say about them.

Outstanding. Love it when wildlife management and hunting come together to improve the herd. While I don't have space for a giraffe until I build my room, once I have a place to put it, I hope to have to opportunity to hunt them.

I don't understand the comments on those who couldn't do it. Is it the skill needed to make the shot with a bow, or something about hunting for a mature, old giraffe? To me, it's the same as any other animal. You're not shooting just to kill something, you are looking for a specific animal, and passing on all the young ones.

I think (at least for me) that most folks don't look at it as a game animal. After all, it's a ........ Giraffe. And while I have no problems at all with the kill, it's strange to think about hunting one of them. I'd also have a problem getting a grasp on hunting zebra. Because it's a ..... horse. eeks333

Amazes how close that scenery looks like parts of the hill country here. A little more green and thicker grass, but pretty similar.

Wow.

Personally I think that's disgusting. In this day and age there are so many options that I just absolutely can't understand why someone would choose to wear their hair like that!

Great video though. It'd take a hell of a house to fit a giraffe mount into!
