I'll give most snakes a pass on most days unless they are poisonous AND in high traffic areas. Even more so since I learned copperhead venom is used in breast cancer research. However, This guy was at the gate and in the wrong place at the wrong time. He deserved the 'Goodyear Stomp' that he got.

He was 30" easy. Biggest and prettiest copperhead I've ever seen. Killed him in the same spot I killed a rattler on Sunday night.

Really big for a copperhead Andy! Hope you skinned that sucker out. Would make some very cool leather items. up

I am looking for someone good enough to keep him from losing any pigment. His colors were really vibrant. Looking for suggestions from the masses.

He is in the freezer right now...at my parents...coiled up...on a shelf...at eye level. I warned them, but I know they are going to forget/not think about it. Me so funny!yingyang

Make check with North Texas Tannery, I don't know if they do Snakes but he could probably steer you in the right direction up

Just called them. They said do it yourself as their salting process would not be good for it. He made it seem pretty simple. Might as well give it a shot.
