Had this little fella scare the bejesus out of one of my girls last night when it came out of the drain in her shower. I think it's a rat snake, but thought I'd defer to the experts. Not the best picture but with all the screaming it was the best I could do.

They wouldn't have a monopoly on being scared, as I would have been the same way if it had come out of the drain when I was showering.

Glad im not the only one he has a hard time with snake id. You may want to check your septic for a nest. Had a similar problem once before but with baby moccasins coming up through an old cabin septic into the shower.

Not on septic. Came in through city drain line I'm guessing.

Did they do the "Oh look...a snake!" happy dance when they found it? .............................

Mother had a scorpion come up through shower drain - out the door like Hussein Bolt! Was funny after the fact!
