I've killed 10-12 hogs, and only actually weighed one. It was 182. Every one in camp estimating between 140-150. Shown here: The one hanging in the original post was way bigger and put a big strain on my hand winch.

Here's a double: It happens a lot, shoot one, they scatter and one or two stop when they think they're hid.

Easy way to find real weight of a pig is to measure girth ( right behind front legs) times by ten and subtract 200 = weight of pig

38 inch girth times 10 = 380 - 200 = 180 pound pig
You can get the 120 tape at Walmart in sewing section for a couple of dollars
That one looks 180 ish

cheers Been known ta use a rope for a belt a time or two... forgot our back packs on one trip, rope took on tripple roll.. kept me britches up, can mark at 1 imch increments for messuring, beats totting scales around in de woods, & fer dragging... back pack works best... nice hog ... flag
