Looking to try my luck on public land later this year. Specifically San Angelo area and Kerrville, maybe Sam Houston. I don't want to spend too much on one of these, but would like it to fit 2 people and be big enough to shoot a bow out of. Was looking initially at the $79 Ameristep blind. The hub-shape blinds seem too big to brush-in well enough to bowhunt out of.
Thanks

Never had any issue brushing in the larger hub blinds, and I prefer the bigger blinds as they are much easier to draw in and move around in.

I picked up one at Cabelas for around $79, forger the exact model but it was a Herters (cabelas brand) and it seems to be decent. Its not small so I have room to move around. I have seen a few on sale for around $50 or so at Academy.

Are they easy to set up and move around?

I have had a few of the cheaper models and wasn't a big fan, but they work. Go as big as you can afford, it makes a difference IMO. The parts I didn't like were the tent rods and connections where fragile and are easy to break when you are setting them up and taking them down. Also, the sides were not tight and were very noisy.

I believe the brand I used to use was Eastman or something like that. They were $130-150 and worked great. You dont have to spend a ton to get a good blind.

Hunted out of a friends home made pop up this past Saturday. Hog panel folded into a circle with that black flower bed fabric wrapped around. Nice cheap blind, but would be a pain to move about

I've got 3 of the Ameristep Backstrap hub style set on for bowhunting. Room for 2 (tight) but clearly large enough for one to bow hunt or cross bow out of which is what I do. It is heavier material (not the plastic/shiny) type; has the mesh for shoot through or can open as much as you want. I bought them from Gander Mountain, on sale between $50-75. They are easy to set up, brush in, take down and move. Love them for flexibility of moving around.

chital I have several of the Muddy 360 blinds on the ranch, they are plenty roomy and give you a good shooting window.

Make sure it's big enough for rear elbow to not hit the back wall and tall enough to not hit the roof. With two people and affordable you probably won't be able to square up to the Windows. Go to cabelas where you can sit in one with a bow
