'I'm thinking about going after a male addax I saw in the pasture we lease to hunt deer. Maybe in a couple to three weeks, before the rifle deer season starts. Has anybody on here shot one and what does your mount look like? Thanks in advance.

I dont know how to post photos here, but I shot one with chalk creek that had an odd horn not a massive bull, but an addax none the less and for the proce I couldnt beat it. The meat was spectacular also.

Great meat and both males and females have trophy horns. Your coloration will be more dusky like the mounted one posted in a month or so. In summer they're pure white other than mask and bad toupee.

Who woulda ever thought it'd take a guy from Slidell...? loser8

Thanks for all the responses. Great pictures and a very nice mount. As far as any hesitation, there is a trophy fee involved. Albeit at a discount, but certainly no "bargain".

One more question - .338WM or .30-06 w/ 180's?
