It appears they are going to hold-off for now.

Sure hope so; wonder if they'll try to ram it through after all the noise dies down. . .

I guess I don't understand, how will this impact hunters and casual shooters?

It would make ammunition "explosives".

I have often wondered when the idiots will try to remove the ability for us to reload. They could easily come up with the excuse that powder and primers can be purchased by anyone, with no background check, and they could be used for making very dangerous explosive devices.

It's not that you wouldn't be able to buy gunpowder, you wouldn't be able to buy ammunition without a special explosives license -- effectively ending sales of ammunition. So yeah, this would have just a slight effect on hunters and casual shooters.

IIRC, I saw a blurb stating that the whole idea was dropped.

There is absolutely no way "they" are going to stop ammunition sales. The best they can hope for is requiring a license of some sort (aka background check) to make a purchase. And I can't see that happening either. Way too many blockades standing their way.

Okay...I misremembered. The announcement was that any decision had been "delayed." So, there is plenty of time to make lots and lots of noise. I think we got this.

Just wait until Hillary is elected and they get a 5th liberal supreme in there, watch our rights get curtailed significantly.

Even my wife this time said it was ok for me to "stock up" a little, knowing it could be the beginning of something terrible bang
