The last year I haven't seen near the hogs. I prefer them to deer. I don't know if it's the helicopter hunts or what's causing the decline. What have you Fisher county hunters seen? A couple of years ago I could kill a few hogs off the back porch and by the time I drug them to the pole I'd have another sounder at the feeder. Is anyone else seeing this?

They all moved to Lee county. I saw 27 this evening down in my bottom pasture.

They all moved to Lee county. I saw 27 this evening down in my bottom pasture. I normally hunt in Lee County, but I've been laid up most of this year. The property on which I hunt is just south of Lexington, and the neighbors there say they've indeed been seeing a fair amount of hogs. But, I don't know that they've concentrated in the area, but rather they just keep making more faster than we can shoot 'em. As DNS commented recently, for us as hunters it's a First World Problem. OTOH, I know of someone who gave up farming in the area because the hogs were so bad. Actually, I think he simply retired but he blames the hogs.

LOL, first world indeed.
Unless your county is very small, that you no longer see them from the back porch is probably more a matter of the fact that you have driven them from the neighborhood, but I am sure there are still plenty left in the county. After all, Fisher is over 900 square miles and less than 4000 people. I bet you have more hogs than people.
