I've seen nine doe this morning. Lots of chick fighting over the feeder. Buck I'm after was on camera at 7:13 am yesterday.

I'm jealous. Driving to work at 4 this morning I saw numerous trucks loaded down heading to the woods. I gotta get off these 6 day work weeks so I can hunt.

I Feed Indian Corn. The deer love it and all the colors make them stay at the feeder longer.

5 bucks showed up but didn't hang out long. Saw a what looked to be a mature deer in the treeline but wouldn't come in

The mosquitoes are my problem. It's much cooler this morning than it usually is for season opener so I just left the thermacell in the truck... I will be bringing it this afternoon lol

I'm back in the stand for the afternoon and I brought my thermacell! Haven't been touched by a mosquito yet. This morning I saw many does and fawns but I let the does walk. Had several very easy shots but I just couldn't do it yet. I may go ahead and take a doe or two this afternoon though. The tree behind this one doe is 6 yards from my pop up lol. I'm honestly hesitant with does because I have not show a doe in many years and I'm having trouble gauging which are sufficient size to take. Is the single doe in this pic an easy yes as far as a shooter?
