I have a colt 1903 in .32 acp. It is a type II. It functions perfectly, however, the barrel is pitted, and rifling is about non existent, so it needs a new barrel. I've been looking for one for years, and finally found one...so I thought. I ordered it, and when it came, the extractor cutout is 1/8th". The extractor cutout on my old one is 3/16". I have not taken it to the range, but I did run some rounds through to see if it would cycle. It seems to cycle fine. Assuming that it cycles without issue, what issues, either long or short term might I have with an extractor cutout that is too large?
