I'd hate to limit w/1 box... no fun there.... but then I shoot my fields and usually leave the gun in the bed of the mule while making rounds checking on my guests..

I prefer good quality shells... and I prefer Fiochi 6 shot at 1350 fps... and a lot of folks like the 7.5's I get it, but since going back to 6's which has always been my late season preference, I don't have any feather=lacking birds fly off... they are drt....
I'd never shoot 6 boxes at a time, I'd quit and figure what I was doing wrong.... I have shot Rios for the past number of years. Picked up 3 flats of fiochi on sale this year. They've worked great for me. I'm picking up 10 flats next year.

The Rio 20 ga. 7/8 oz. target loads I used Sunday worked great.

went from 3 shells per bird ( which is terrible) Thats actually great, I would bet that 3/bird would put you in the top 10% of dove hunters. I guarantee where I hunt that would put you into the top tier of shooters. But where I grew up hunting (stock tanks in west texas) you should kill a limit in about a 45 shots, so I'd say thats average.
