Easy- Monarch feeders. Not $120, but worth the money. Cheap feeders lead to short legs, light weight and small barrels that cows turn over to easily. Plus they often do not last long, and you realize they have not been working on opening morning.

American Hunter - I think you can get them for under $100 - with digital timer. I have four of them on my lease. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/productlist?k=feederThe only draw back is the capacity. Also, if you have cows or pigs, then these will not standup to either one very well. I had to replace the mounts and spinners on all of them when the cows got at them on another lease a few years back. But the replacement motors is about $35. In terms of pigs, they'll knock em over as well, if the legs are not staked and stabilized. Otherwise these work great for me at least.

This past weekend the Buccee's in New Braunfels had the American Hunter 55 gal. tripod feeder with premium motor and controller for $146.00. Too cheap to pass up, so I bought one. These are normally MSRP $285.00.

You can get close by purchasing: THIS FEEDER MECHANISM THIS LEG KITTHIS BARREL LIDTHIS VARMINT GUARDThen a barrel off craigslist ($5-10), and three lengths of pipe from Lowes or Home Depot($5-10). I've had several of these feeder mechanisms, and while they're not perfect, they're a great budget feeder. Every September or so, I'll replace the 6 volt and the AA battery in them, and they keep on trucking. Every so often a timer will go out, but they're relatively inexpensive and easy to replace. Yes, you'll have to build it yourself, but it's the most cost effective, and you start with all the upgrades you'll eventually need. or SPEND A LITTLE MORE AND BUY IT ALL PUT TOGETHERIf you're stuck on your $125 budget, I'm afraid you'll likely going to be buying either an analog timer feeder, or something from Moultrie or Wildgame Innovations, neither of which will provide consistent service. This really is one of those deals where you get what you pay for.

I've had good luck with the feeders they put out at HEB in Lampasas. $99 for everything but a solar panel. They should be out soon.

At the risk of getting huge ridicule, I will say I have had good luck with Wildgame Innovations. I understand that many have negative feedback on WGI, and I understand, but in my situation, they have been fine. I picked first of two 300 lb. feeders up at Academy out of necessity and price in 2012. I needed a cheap feeder fast, and it is still working fine, and the only change I've made to it are batteries. The second I got on sale at TSC for less than $90 (also had coupon), same size, and it has operated fine for 2 years now.
FYI - I feed year round, once a day at low rpm, and then increase to twice a day (still on low rpm) for season. No problems at all with timers, motors, hardware. I do agree with other feedback I've seen, if you have hogs or cattle that can access the legs, they'll get knocked over. Also, varmint cage is a must. I own my place and am there anyway, so the smaller size of the barrel and need to refill more frequently doesn't really bother me.
When it is time to replace these, I will upgrade to something more robust, but I see no need to do so 'til these crap out.

I am also running a Wildgame innovations feeder. The 275lb capacity that is normally $99 at academy but I got it last year in September on sale for $69. It has held up extremely well aside from the timer going out in January, but they sent me an entire new time/spinner unit at no cost to me! I was surprised that the plastic barrel has held up as well as it has. It looks just like it did when I set it up over a year ago, brand new. Given I do have a dingy barb wire fence around mine so the cows can't get to it, but deer are on the camera at it everyday. I'm impressed with it for the $69 I paid. I do not have a varmint cage, and raccoons are on my camera every night. They have not touched the spinner because I put petroleum jelly on the legs (= They just graze the grass looking for corn the deer missed lol

None. The only way I would consider a feeder in that price range is for the back yard. Good luck with your search, I was on a budget hunting for many years so you have to make do.

Nobody shoot me, but I have a couple of the moultree deer feeder pro's and really like them. I have used them the past two seasons and have had no issues. They use little battery, tell you the battery % and the approximate days remaining of corn. If you are around cattle, build a panel fence and there should be no issues. For $129 at Cabelas, you can't go wrong for the money.

I just build my own, 15 for drum, 15 for legs, 50 for control box, 10 for battery, and 20 for solar panel. $110 Then just depends if you buy or make your funnel and or top.

Wound up with the Wildlife Innovations. On sale at Academy and a friend has had one for 4yrs with no issues. She goes up tomorrow.

Man those wild game feeders at 69.99 are a decent deal. Yeah you may only get one or two years out of em but they are less than a 100 bucks!
I wish stupidity was not so handsomly rewarded.

Mine was about $10 more but the legs mount to the barrel. Got the feeder solar panel and battery for $113 including tax.
