I have a 5 month old brittany spaniel that I would like to be trained for pointing and retrieving. I would like to send her off for training around January, making her about 9 months old. Any suggestions on where to take her?

I know its a bit subjective but I use what I believe is one of the best puppy trainers. The catch is he is in Louisiana. I am taking my 10 mo female to him in October for a 3 mo stay. This trainer has been training dogs and horses for close to 50 years.

Let me know what the cost is also! Not looking to break the bank, but will still pay to have the job done right, Would like her to be a little closer to home than that though

Any help would be much appreciated! Did you google Rob Martin? He trains a lot of the NSTRA dogs. His monthly rate is $500.

I have Brittanies also and Use Mike Tyson and he is north of Austin on Hey 71 just as you cross the Perdanalas river. I am actually taking my female to him Tuesday morning. He does his training at his house and also at the Austin Gun Club. He trained my male Britt couple years ago.
My brother bought a shorthair from Mr. Martin and sent him back for training this summer. If he is the same guy he is in the Tyler area.

Was out training with Tony Miller from endeavor kennels and he had a 5 month old Brit pup that held point to the flush and retrieved the quail I shot for him. He is in north Dallas.

Tammy Casa - 512-971-4375 She has lots of experience with versatile hunting breeds. The only person I would send my dog to if I wasn't training them myself.
