I still dove hunt with the 1400s. Have a 12 and 20 ga. Love mine for the price. Seems like I paid 200 for 1 and 250 for the other. They have been very reliable guns that don't bring much these days. Prolly because the only chamber 2&3/4" shells.

I bought a 1400 new in 1976 and have used it every year since. It has never failed me. As far as I know, the 140 is the same mechanically, but the wood is not as nice.

Had one, bought it cheap, sold it cheap, and don't miss it.
