Looking for advice from those of you who've built one on what you like/dislike about yours.. Picked up a Runner Runner billet (Glock mag) lower at Market Hall over the weekend & the plan is to ultimately SBR/suppress it.. Would appreciate pics if you have any.. Thanks!
I really hate to do what I am about to do, because it will be very painful for you.

They are not the quietest suppressed platform since it relatively light bolt weight for a blowback firearm. I used a very heavy buffer to really quiet it down, the additional length helps from breaking the bolt catch Regular 5.5oz 9mm buffer on bottom, heavy buffer (stainless steel with 3 tungsten weights) in middle

Love my QC10 9mm rifle. I originally bought a 5.5" barrel but also bought a 16" barrel because the Form1 might take awhile. I used the JP silent capture buffer/spring. Also bought a Octane 45 can...that will take even longer. It was shooting 6" groups at 100 yards with a non magnified red dot. Can't wait to finish the smaller barrel upper and get the can.

I picked up a Seekins 12" rail last week for the SBR upper. You can tuck the can with that rail

T, that a 50rd drum? I've been looking at 50's over the weekend & CDNN has an Asian Military Glock compatible 50rd on sale for around $40 but the reviews seem to be all over the place on them.. Any issues w/ yours?

Good luck finding a non side charging LRBHO upper. They're on extreme back order.

Okay, so I picked up a Spartan 9mm Glock lower awhile back, already have my forms back for the SBR and the Can (Octane HD 45 1.37"OD)
Where do I begin? So, I read all over the net...every DANG opinion and went ahead and bought the 9oz buffer (Spikes), the BCG...etc
I am using a Spartan Side Charging upper which is machined so it has a simular shape to that of a billet upper (little more beefy).
First problem I encountered was while installing my BHO (Bolt Hold Open), even the extended browning catch is not long enough to get tripped by the glock mag. Remember, several parts out there are designed for those who use a mag block, the mag position on the dedicated lower is much further forward.
No worries, I just wait until I get a dead man trigger then reload...yikes
Second issue, th 9OZ buffer is also designed for those who are using a basic BCG and mag block. The BCG I bought actually came with an additional weight pinned to the rear of it so little did I know, I was running about 1LB of buffer weight. This extra weight caused the buffer to bind in the tube after about 28rnds suppressed (that carbon build up is CRAZY). So, I went back to a standard buffer, no more binding.
Third issue, yet to be resolved is to find a handguard I like (currently using Samson Evo) that does NOT have the anti rotation tabs as these will not fit the beefy-ness of the upper (the design prohibits the tabs from fitting properly.

No, just a plain Jane 9mm bcg, there is no cam pin. The bcg and bolt face are one. Here it is, works like a champ and I now see they have more detail in the specs regarding the additional weight pinned to the rear: here

Educate me, I'm an ar idiot.. What's the advantage of a non side charging upper? Side chargers are just unique. I prefer the streamlined look of a standard upper. The side chargers are more expensive too, at least the LRBHO ones I was looking at.
