Has anyone ever had problems with American Hunter products? I bought the American Hunter RD-Pro spinner along with solar charger and varmint zapper. Ive had it out for 2 weeks starts out working great then spinner seems to get stuck. Once I give it a little push it starts working again. Battery has a good charge and when I contacted American Hunter's customer service when they feel like replying to my email doesn't seem to care about my problem. Thoughts ideas?

Is the corn lodging inbetween the spinner plate and funnel? If so, drop the spinner plate down a fraction till it works great.

I've had 3 of the 6V going strong for 5-6 years now. As STX said, make sure corn is not wedged between funnel and spinner freezing it. Also, if you lowered or raised spinner plate, ensure that you have tightened the spinner screw tightly enough to engage the spinner cam post.

Beyond that, it is possible that your spring top battery is not securely in place to make good positive/negative contact to motherboard and that's why a little movement re-engages that. Make sure the battery housing clip is in place to allow for good consistent contact of battery to controller board.

put a volt meter on the wires at the motor to make sure there is power. Turn the spinner plate slowly by hand to see if there is resistance. Like DQ mentioned be sure the set screw is tight on the spinner.

Thanks for all the input everyone I'll check all of the above. I think the battery and connection are pretty good, I'm leaning on the space between the cone and the spinner as maybe being the problem. I need to look at the instructions to see if it's movable to adjust.

I won one of those feeder control units as a door prize 4 yrs ago. I had issue with corn getting stuck between the spinner plate and funnel on mine with their factory setting. Mine just had a set screw to loose up and drop the spinner plate down a bit.
