I have been out three times and I haven't seen 15 birds. I am in Palo Pinto county. I think the owners need to add a high fence for the dove!

Just got off the phone with a buddy who's out at our dove place near Throckmortan. Plenty of birds. He had 13 when i got off the phone with him. Just need more hunters to stir em up. I have 9 limits so far this year out there. Going back out in the morning if its not raining.

Dove are slim in Young county right now. I'm sitting behind the house on a stock tank and seeing very few. I was fishing Wednesday night on Lake Leon and saw a ton of white wings. I took off today and fished Possum Kingdom this morning and saw no doves.

I hunted with a guy yesterday in Bell Co.,,, claimed he had hunted every day since the season opened and gotten his limit each day. Yesterday we saw a few high birds but got 0. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Perhaps I"m too gullible.

Got 19 guys and gals here this weekend. No limits yesterday afternoon but there should have been. Most got around half a limit or little better. I think everyone shot at least 1.5 boxes of shells and had a good time.

Me, my middle son and best friend got our limits again today. Throckmortan. There are still lots of birds but they have diffidently changed their ways! Flaring if your not low and hidden. Mojos not working like they did....although I have only used them very sparingly myself. But watching others using them I see what's happening. Plus its been a couple weeks sense the opener and birds are not stirred up like before. There are fewer birds but still some left.

I got 8 last night hunting in about 45 minutes and 10 tonight. In Montague at the deer lease but neighbor had some sunflowers planted and plowed. I expected zero so was pleasantly surprised. But overall I hardly saw a dove outside of sitting by that field.

Quick question, what's the regs say about how far you have to be away from a building to hunt? Seemed like their flight path was taking a lot of birds right next to my shop

Here ya go:

S.B. 734 permits hunting with a shotgun on a property of 10 acres or more that's more than 150 feet from a residence or occupied building on another property.

The few hunters that actually went out had a great shoot!! Tons of birds. I'm guessing new ones since yesterday afternoon was slow.

Thank you sir! So, am I reading this right? Is it saying shotgun hunting is permitted on property greater than 10 acres, or if your property is 10 acres, you have to be 150 feet away from another persons building? Reason I wanna make sure is I hunt my company's field all the time and the total property is 8 acres
