My wife took my favorite rifle for herself so I get a new one. I'm a big fan of Remington 700s but I have my eye on the CZ 557 Sporter in 308. All the reviews I've read have been good. I like everthing about it except the 20.5" barrel. I prefer 22" barrel but I think I can live with that.

CZ, is hard to beat, I prefer a longer barrel, only have one that's shorter than 24, bolt actions
hold on Newt, we got a runaway

I own more CZ than any other brand. Was really disappointed when they discontinued the 550 American. The barrels on the 557 are just too short for me though. There is no right or wrong when it comes to barrel length just preference.
Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

Maybe next time I'll get a CZ I went with the Remington 700 again.

The only CZ I own has a backwards safety so I won't be buying anymore till they change.....
