Been bad down here in pockets for about a month. I talked to a guy the other day at the seed company and they had just got done spraying 4,000 acres of grass. Some areas have them really bad and others do not have any....yet. :fingerscrossed:

Hate to hear that I hunt just west of Evant. Hope they don't show on us.

I started disking up a Bermuda patch just South of Bowie last weekend; about 5 acres. The little moths that lay the eggs were thick. So, I'll wait until the first freeze, disk again, and then plant wheat. Of course, that assumes decent rains cooperate.

Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.

My armadillos are keeping the armyworms in check. Just wish they would cover up those holes in my lawn after they finish eating.

Your armadillos are eating the grubs. Armyworms move through an area quickly and you will usually see major bird activity chasing and eating them.

Problem is Houston is Sod Web Worms. Spraying does little to stop them. Now I have a million little white moths that I have been spraying for but it doesn't seem to make a dent in the population at all.
