Anyone worked with cast lubed or paper patched for 9.3x74R?

Picked one up a while back along with cases and dies. Starting to work up loads with .358" 200 and 280 grain molds.

Is this for a single shot or a double? I think the reason why so few go off the beaten path with this cartridge is because of the difficulty with regulating point of impact in doubles as it's a double cartridge first and foremost.

It's a Ruger No.1.
With the straight wall case and falling block action it should be loaded with paper patch and FFg.

cheers

Just curious why black powder? The 9.3x74 was developed for smokless powder in 1900 and has a slight bottleneck. It was used as a medium bore cartrige in the German African colonies, in much the same way the 375 H&H, 360 Jeffery, and 350 Rigby were, in the British colonies. The 9.3x72 was a black powder cartridge.

I understand that, before my shoulder problems, I hunted with a recurve. The 9.3X74 has a big advantage in component availability compared to equivalent medium bores that come to mind. I've seen a fair number of 9.3x72, over and under rifle/shotguns available at decent prices, if you ever want to fool around with a 35 Remington class cartridge.
