I will be in Amarillofriday night getting together with some buddies to head up to Wyoming for some speed goat hunting. Any suggestions on eats. I was there a few weeks ago for another hunt and ate at the Big Texan. I actually enjoyed it and the food was acceptable. But, it was kinda pricey.

Any suggestions on other local places? We kinda like all kinds of foods except for Mexican food.

Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Texas Toast and side. Gravy is infused with jalapenos and topped with sautéed jalapeno and shredded cheese...Mmmmmmm Good! Would love to meet and join but the wifey and I are headed to Red River for the Aspencade Festival.
Enjoy,

I can't pass through Amarillo without eating at Coyote Bluff. Been eating there since the late 90s. Outstanding burgers. Blue sky isn't bad either.

Good list. And Green Chili Willys should be on top.
If passing through Canyon on the way to Amarillo add Feldmans to the list.

Yep, great choice and burger. If you're back in town...try the Texas Cheesesteak. It's a sliced thin Rib Eye with grilled onions and jalapeno's with melted cheddar on a hoagie roll. Damn good.

Do they still serve a decent steak out at the bar and grill out Washington St. On the Claude Hwy? Lone Star Grill was the name back in the day.

Yep, 575 is the real deal. Tyler's is better than average. I haven't been out to the Lone Star is quite sometime. Never was a fan of mesquite grilled steaks but they had killer Peach cobbler.

Just ate at Yellow City Street Food, it's really good! They don't have a website but they do have Facebook.
