Looking at a plcae near Silver close to the Colorado river. looks like big deer country. Wondering if anyone hunts out that way.

Rough-Country. In areas, with a lot of deer. Back towards the south, of Silver, and West. Sandy, with Chin0oak. Decent deer. You will not be bored in the Stand.

My neighbor to the north high fenced and it definitely hurt me. So far just a lot of does and young bucks. Missing the King place!

hunt in Silver and we have a decent herd on the place. We feed year round and for 3 years seem to be holding the deer on the place according to trail cam photos. Too many hogs but we will keep shooting them. We all bow hunt so the deer are geeting to age and last count had i think 5 bucks that range from 4-7 years old with plenty of young ones. Our doe population seems about in line with our bucks at least according to trail cams. The place we are on is so dang thick that there is a lot that you just don't see. We are on about 2200 acres and most of my sits last year had me entertained so I am good with that. I would guess the biggest scoring deer that we have pics of is probably upper 130s to low 140s. I have only found 1 oak on the property with lots of mesquite, cedar and brush in general, thick, thick, thick.

120s is going to be the typical mature buck in that area.

Got two places in Blackwell, good herds and with a little management and age you can turn those 120s into 140s.
