This guy just showed up to my feeder last week. Hoping he will stick around and show himself during daylight hours.

Just his brisket at a odd angle. Even if it was a tumor he still has an arrow with his name on it come Oct 1st!

I hope you get it! I love to hear stories about people getting good deer from small properties. It gives me hope.

yeah, I own 6 acres that we are getting ready to build on, so I set up a feeder near the back of the property. Luckily my place backs up to lake Ray Roberts, so the deer have some corp of engineers land that they can bed down in. I have been seeing a ton of does and a couple young bucks, but the big boys are starting to show themselves.

I don't have tons of deer hunting experience, but I have learned over the years that the property neighboring the area you hunt is very important. That's the case on this tract. It's definitely a tiny piece of property, but the area surrounding it is great habitat.

Try to figure out when the rut is starting, sit out there every chance you get, and put one o' them pointed sticks in him.

Great looking buck. That looks like an infected thorn in his brisket.

X's 3!

I also have a very small place now, talk about a culture shock, 15 acres is just a days work now grin I hope you get him, the feeling is "extra" on small limited land imo.

Very cool !!!!

Hope you get your chance

Don't mind me asking what are the rules for hunting small properties?
I mean I know you cannot shoot a rifle on anything smaller than 10 however I'm guessing you can shoot a bow legally?
You think I would know this since I shoot both bow / rifle however since I don't own anything below 10 acres I guess I've never put thought into it.

I don't know the rules either, but I actually have more than 6 to hunt. My Father in law owns the tract next to me and I have about 25 acres behind me that I have access to. The feeder is set up on my 6 acres though, and my plan is to only bow hunt the area. Too small for me to feel comfortable shooting.

Very nice. Hope you can harvest him. Hoping to have the same fortune on my small lot. This picture gives me hope as my lot backs up to hundreds of acres of undisturbed woods. Fingers crossed.

Your good to go.... just make sure that corn doesnt fly over to corp property....and dont shoot those does till you harvest him or the rut is over. Im in Denton County just south of you. Your best chance is Bow opener thru 1st week in Nov.
These are game cam and Denton county facts On my small property. If for some reason you stick him and he goes to corp property. Pm me Ive got GW number and he can go with you to retrieve or just give him a heads up.
