New rifle but not what you're expecting. Pneu-dart RDD projector. Basically a .50cal barrel mounted to a Marlin 22. Fires 22 blank rounds to project darts. Not as cool as a custom rifle but should be some fun taking it to the range to practice.

Are you going to be darting goats?

Cattle mostly. Maybe some deer/exotics. Goats, maybe, but probably not.

i see the book says " sheep and goat medicine"
if you're going to be shooting sheep i have a
couple of rifles you can use, and i'll provide
ammo and load for you. or i can cut us a couple
of proper sized mesquite limbs and do it like
they did in the 1800's. or find a convenient
cliff and couple of good saddle horses to borrow
for a while

Sheep and goat book just happened to be there. I treat more goats than sheep. "Sick sheep seldom survive" according to my small ruminant professor. A lot of goat med applies to pen raised deer too.
