I lucked out and was drawn for Private lands either sex. This is management buck or doe Mule Deer. Any of the other THF members going on this hunt?

I was thinking about applying for a hunt. The deadline is 9/20. How many times did you apply before you were chosen?

I was thinking about applying for a hunt. The deadline is 9/20. How many times did you apply before you were chosen? The one I was drawn on ended on 9-12-16 the Private lands. I think this is the second or third time I've put in on this hunt. I have been putting in on these types of hunts off and on for over 30 years. I have been drawn several times for various hunts. My SIL and I went to Elephant Mtn in Jan for a Javelina Hunt. We tagged out the first afternoon.

Made the trip and it was a long drive, but it was worth the effort and time. I was able to take a management buck on the morning of third day. The draw included Guide, meals, and a room. This was an outstanding opportunity for me and the other hunters. I truly feel blessed to have been drawn for this. The Guides were great, and informative on the Mule Deer habits. The two ladies cooking for us were excellent at their craft. The information sheet said to bring the snacks of our choice. I carried a bag full of snacks and I ate ONE package of crackers during the hunt. This old fat man was full all the time. I will also be writing the TPWD to let them know how great this hunt was. I know this will also add to the number applying next year, but so be it. I will try to load pics when I can, but the last time I tried to use Photobucket it did not work well for me.

Awesome
I Feed Indian Corn. The deer love it and all the colors make them stay at the feeder longer.
