I look forward to the upcoming draws. Have been striking out so far but hopefully I can hit on some of these next ones.

The WT and MD hunts are really the ones that have me excited. I put in across the board on the WT hunts that draw the 20th.

What did you put in on?

Put on for about 20 hunts. All of them are long draw odd hunts. Could not apply for a bunch of them since I drew the Chaparral achery hunt in December. But that is a good problem to have. Going to wait till the draw results are out on this round before I apply for Mulie. Good luck to all in the upcoming draws!!

I try not to get my hopes up but every so many years I do get lucky.

Good luck to everyone who applied.

I spent $30 on applications already; pending 2nd draw on a few. Gonna apply to some Mule deer stuff maybe.

Putting in tonight on the either sex hunt, and anterless spike draws...... dont care about horns, just want some
freezer meat for sausage, and ground meat..... Over the big buck contest. Nice, but horns are pretty tuff to eat!
Hi..... anyone ever hunted the Brownwood area up there? company i used to work before 9/11 came we were up near
Brady area, lots of deer, and larger bucks and does there in that area.... Thought about doing that state park hunt....
something different....

Going for Enchanted Rock area, and Inks Lake state park for quick and easy meat harvest!......

I hunted Brownwood about 5 years ago. There are some decent bucks there but 9 times out 10 it was young deer or does. They seem to have an issue with people shooting young deer there every year. At least that was what I was told and experienced. Nice area and friendly staff.

Just spent 63.00. Wasn't going to, but couldn't help myself. Too many places I haven't seen to quit now.

Dont feel bad, i went 12 years for being picked to hunt! so its all in luck of the draw. and number of
people applying for what hunts. More the people, you odds go down.......

I had fun, made some memories. To me thats what it all about.

Guess i will know later today, if we got picked.

hunt safe....

No change in my App's as of 6:28am today...Oh well ...not to worry...watched pot not boiling and all that...TPW will get around to the announcements eventually, and mebbe catch me by surprise.

With 17 & 14 LP's in 2 of the 3 catgories I put in for you'd think I was more optimistic, NOPE, been playin' this game a looong time. It is what it is...take it or leave it.

For sure this ain't the Rocky Mountain states...but then TPW will never be able to get into that system as we are too far down the road of what used to be called Preference Points...and more correctly are now at least called Loyalty Points....but at least TPW dropped the insulting name of the old program when they changed over to LP's. Exciting day. I have exactly one week of vacay saved and just need TPW to tell me if I get to hunt, or plan some girly vacation with the wife.

Come on already! Post the results!
