I have been watching this buck for 3 years. He's by no means not the biggest deer on the ranch but he's my favorite. Born in the pasture and grew up on protein and native browse.

Im excited to see him harvested this year and to finally put my hands on him.

You can't see it in this picture but he has some palmation on both sides as well. Drop tines get me overtime. up

I took that picture of "drop tine" on Tuesday, today I saw him and he is rubbed out of velvet. I did a little scouting this evening for the first time this year. I stayed until dark and spent a little time at each blind. The ranch really came alive around 7pm. I chose not to hunt this ranch last year and let it rest after turning out several good bucks and about 20 bred does, in addition to the already established herd in the pasture. This year we are reaping the rewards of our hard work.









The biggest buck in the pasture, 6yo deer and he is wild folks. Definitely won't be like shooting a fish in a barrel on this one. A good friend of mine/client is coming down in early November to try to put a hole in him. We have been watching this buck for years and he is finally big enough to shoot. Needless to say both of us are pretty excited and I am watching this deer like a hawk until November 7th.
