I have a new lease and it came with a few blinds and feeders. One of the feeders is a nice 500lb feeder and adjacent to it is a 5 gal bucket feeder. The bucket feeder is packed with red wasp, 100s of them . Any suggestions on best way to eliminate, buddy of mine said to go in at night and cover with garbage bag? Then zip tie bag. He said they won fly at night? Anyone ever tried this?

Sounds like a plan to me. I always kill wasps at night. They don't generally fly at night.

Doesn't sound like you need the 5 gallon pale with a 500lb feeder. Why not leave it alone.

I'd use a can of wasp spray.

You can double bag it like you said and throw a lb or 2 of dry ice in with it, will kill everything without any poison residues.

Like bees, they wont fly much at dark, but a flashlight changes that, they will crawl as well

Those red wasp are sneeky and seem to know that the best way to sting you is from the back when you can't see them.
I had a nest inside an old oak on a trail I used going to and from my stand.
I just left them alone and one day I walked past that oak and one hit me right in between my shoulder blades.
It hurt worse than any bee, yellow jacket I'd even been stung by.
The stinger must have remained in the sting because that thing just kept iching and festering for about a year afterward.
Get rid of them any way possible.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Doesn't really sound like a problem to me. Leave the bucket alone and fill the feeder.
