What time are you in your stand before daylight,sundown?

If hunting a feeder (like I am doing,) the feeder will go off as soon as you can just see. I'll be in my stand an hour before it goes off. But, if the wind is blowing towards the feeder, than I will get in about 10 minutes before it goes off and hope for the best. I have no other way to hunt this stand and I only have opening weekend to hunt during bow season so that's what I'll have to deal with.

If I know by what I have seen on cameras, I will judge the time to get in the stand by half hour before game movement. If I am flying blind then I am in stand 30 minutes before light. Evenings I only hunt till sunset, hard time tracking in the dark, but may stay in the stand a little longer not to spook any game in the area when I get down. This is for bow hunting only though.

Early season - at least an hour before sunrise.

Later in the season - as early as I can stand it, but at least 30 minutes before sunrise. Why the difference? Because I am a baby when it comes to cold weather (anything less than 35 degrees).

It depends on what time the TC tells me the deer are hitting the protein feeder in the feed pen. I have the corn feeder set to go off about 10 minutes after daylight. I want to be there when the deer aren't if I am hunting that feeder. Even if I am hunting a trail leading to it, same thing. I might be 15 minutes before daylight to an hour before daylight. I will get my stuff up in the tripod or in the haybale blind then hand corn the area. I then us the road feeder as I drive off to park the Ranger. I have to hustle back to beat the deer to the setup some days. Using the Ranger to run the deer of then using the roadfeeder to bring them back in has worked for me very well. The evenings will depend on the day temps and time of the season.

Stxranchman, how do you do it when you are not hunting down south? Have you had success driving a ranger past your stand in other areas?

In the Hill Country I drove a pickup to the blind, put in all my gear. Then spread corn by hand in locations I wanted the deer, fed off with the road feeder on the truck to park the truck in a secluded area. They associate the vehicle with feed, not danger(since I do not shoot or hunt from a vehicle). I go the blind/stand in the same vehicle that is used on the place everyday. I feed the blinds with the same vehicle/road feeder, just as I did this morning at 5:30. I would prefer to move the deer off the blind area with a vehicle rather than a human on foot. I feel that I have had better hunts when using a vehicle to go the blind rather than walking in. For me them associating the vehicle they hear or see everyday with danger is not the same as when they see or smell a human on foot. I also start to feed in late August every morning and/or evening to make sure they are used to the pre-daylight morning traffic that was not a normal daily routine for the last 8 months. It has worked for me in the areas I have hunted, just might not work for someone else in a different location. Of course the best scenario is to have someone drive you to your blind, feed the area and then drive off feeding the roads. Then come back later and pick you up.

in stand by 6am and if i get down back in stand by 330pm.

Usually no less than 30 seconds before the feeder goes off in the morning. 45 minutes or so before in the evening. I get bored and sleepy if I get there too early. Falling asleep in a ladder or tripod stand can ruin your hunt. Mostly cause I snore.

I like to get on stand before it's light enough to see the spooks. (black spots that look like deer)
I also feed from my vehicle and limit my walking to the stand. I try to park not far from my stand (hidden) in order to reduce my scent and movement to a minimum.
They are less afraid of a vehicle that they associate with feed than they are of a human.
