I test shot a Impulse 34 this summer at four different trade shows. Very nice but I think I need to shoot some other brands too just to see how well they shoot.

I bought and hunted with an Energy 32 in 2014. Nice enough bows. Smooth, accurate, slow and heavy. However they tout them as high end bows but if you look closely at them and 5he components of things like cable gudes, graphics and casting you'll see they aren't on the caliber of Hoyt, Mathews or Bowtech.

I shot the Impulse 34, the Energy 37 and either the PSE Inertia or the Decree, can't remember which one it was. Both Elites were set at 29" draws as was the PSE. I shoot a 27 to 28 but on the 2 Elites I never felt overdrawn. They were so smooth and had the most solid wall I've ever felt on any bow. They have a big let off and it takes a little bit to get it to breakover, but when it does you feel as though you could hold it for days. The best thing, there was no creep at all. Zero. This was not the case with the PSE. I didn't even make full draw and felt it pulling me forward. It felt like I was having to fight it the whole time. Definitely not a bow I want to hold at full draw for more than a few seconds. The over all comfort of the Elites from the solid wall to the balance , to the amazing speed with no noise and no vibration made me switch from Mathews. I go to pick it up Wednesday and can't wait to send an arrow through a few animals this year.

That's great to hear on the creeping deal. I have a shoulder issue so kills me to hold back for awhile when I have too. I know they revamped the GT500 and renamed it. I was gonna look at it first thing

I thought about it some more. Another thing on that Impulse, it was pleasant to shoot and hold your draw. But say if you don't get your shot and you have to let down it can take some getting used to and may feel like it's suddenly trying to jerk your armpit of socket if your not careful with the let-down. That was the one thing that kept me from making the purchase. The actual shot, draw, balance, grip, and sound, I felt was really good, otherwise.

I have a slight tear in my rotator cuff and switched to an Elite Answer several years ago because it was so much easier on my shoulder. I still have it and have also had the Energy 35 and currently shoot the Impulse 34.
The Impulse 34 is not as smooth as the others, especially on the letdown, because of its speed - or at least that is how it was explained to me. However, when comparing to other bows, I did not notice it being any more difficult.
Loved all 3 bows but I may go back to the Energy 35. Great for hunting and I shoot 4-5 times a week and it is easy on the shoulder.

That's the one I decided to go with was the Energy 35. Only a few fps slower than the Impulse and a little smoother as you said. Pick it up tomorrow and so ready to shoot it. Will post pics tomorrow when I get it.

The Impulse is one Elite speed bows, is not as smooth to draw are let down. I have a 2012 Elite Answer , solid back wall, smooth and quite, life time transferable warranty. Forrest
