Anyone interested in hunting Iowa this year Dec. 3-7 (Shotgun/Muzzleloader) or Dec. 19 - Jan. 10 (Pick Any 7 days, Muzzleloader/Bow Only)?

Public/Private Ground - 80 acres of private ground that bumps into great public ground. Missed a 170" deer last year on this farm. Only hunted 2 days (Dec. 5th and 6th) and saw five deer over 140", no trail cam photos or actual pictures of deer from the property. Very few hunters, lots of deer.

This is a shotgun/muzzleloader hunt only. Tags are $426, hunting licenses are $112, and habitat fee is $13. Zone 2 in Iowa, farm is only 9 miles from a hotel I can't provide lodging or meals. There is camping nearby (within 3 miles of the farm) or possibly on the farm itself depending on the weather conditions. I'll gut, skin, cape, and quarter your animal for you for free if I'm available.

A non-refundable 50% deposit is due once you purchase the tag, this will be used to purchase elevated hunting blinds, treestands, and trail cameras which I will put on the property for your use. 25% will be due once you arrive and the final 25% will be due once you harvest the animal. If no animal is harvested you will not need to pay the final 25%.

Three spots for Dec. 3-7 $1,250 per person and two spots Dec. 19 - Jan. 10 for $1,500 per person. No additional fees of any kind. During the shotgun season I will be there until the night of the 5th, possibly the night of the 6th. If you have a larger group we might be able to work something out.

These are semi-guided hunts and I'll be out in the field as much as I can with you if you prefer to spot and stalk.

My number is 712-621-6616, give me a call!

Depends on the county. I hunt in Clay county up in the NW portion of the state and draw tags every year. The southern counties are much more difficult to draw in. Big deer in the whole state.

This buck was on the adjacent property September of last year. This is the only photo I have of any deer near this property. I will be on the property in late October to put out blinds and trail cameras.

It's a great area to hunt! Just have to know where the deer are and how to get to them. There's only 180 tags for this area (very large multi-county area) and there's 12 leftover tags.
