More than likely broke off or injured early in velvet. Young deer that would get a pass from me. If he shows up like that next year get him out of the gene pool early.

That's a hard deer to age for me. In the 1st picture he looks old to me. Possibly got injured or was sick and lost weight. He looks younger in the 3rd pic. I might be wrong but he looks 4 1/2 or older to me. Hard to say what happened to his ear and horn. He'll be easy to id in the future though.

2 yr old that had antler damage last fall or this spring early on it looks like IMO.
