It looks like most of my hunting season will be done in rehab. I had a fall this week that broke 4 ribs, shoulder blade and shattered my left wrist. Got lots more small bone breaks but they would not slow me down.
I have been at parkland since 6pm Wednesday, ready to go home.

Ouch. Sorry to hear. Heal up quickly and maybe get out for a late season hunt?

Man, I feel for you, but there's more important things than hunting season. You gotta take care of yourself carefully now, so you have many, many more years here and many more hunting seasons left. Watch out for clots and call for help immediately if you start feeling funny. 'Hope you get home soon and the rehab goes well. Just life throwing you a curve ball. Keep your eye on the ball and hit it out of the park!

Your name's not Tony Romo is it?

All kidding aside, sorry to hear about your fall. Get well, and there's always next season.

I broke my leg at the first of this year, and I'm still moving pretty slowly. I've been itching to get back out after hogs but my wife is worried I'll overdo things. I went out only once during the summer, but next week the landowner is going to meet me and he'll do any heavy lifting since I'm essentially on restricted duty. It's frustrating, but as Creekrunner said taking care of yourself is the number one priority for now. Good Luck!

Man sorry to hear about that! Stick to that rehab and who knows, maybe you'll be able to hunt late this season. Get to feeling better!

Five years ago I shattered my right wrist (I'm right handed).....took four surgeries and a year of rehab to get it back to about 80%......I was lucky to get that much back.....

Do your PT harder than the therapist.......good luck on your recovery....PM me if you have any questions or if I can do anything for you...

WOOHOO! Do what the docs and PT say to do. I always ask what I can be doing in the mean time to further things along. They may say to do nothing or to be doing this or that, maybe even exercising non-injured parts to keep them healthier for when they will be needed for PT. Sometimes, you do have to ask.

This and a good attitude will help a lot in your recovery.

We are all pulling for you to be getting up and around!

Man that's a bum deal but it could have been much worse. Just concentrate on healing up, there are more deer seasons to be enjoyed in years to come.

Follow the PT and the Doc's orders, if you cut it short, you might pay a lot more in the long run.
