At least here most of the Bucks have shed their velvet. The groups of them have mostly split up. Younger Bucks are for the most part still together. Where you usually saw them now you don't. It is that time of the year.

Hard horns here. Still haven't seen a shooter though. Hopefully that'll change first week of gun season.

I started seeing our whitetails stripping velvet over a week ago. Most are all done now.

You have some really good looking Bucks Rancher. What is in the tub? Something I bought for the exotics. Nothing really likes it. I got snookered. I have some pretty neat pics from that camera because its in the middle of the water trough.

My mature bucks have velvet still. He only looks to be a 3 yr. old...... The one in the first pic I think is 4. The one in the second pic I think is 5. They could be 5 and 6. But neither is 3. I've been lucky enough to find the sheds of the second deer for 2 years.
