Chicken Scratch, and try the chicken & waffles

Lockharts is ok for BBQ but to expensive for me

Haven't been in a while, but Hattie's. Take your wallet. Dress up a wee bit. Still hacks me off that the men's room is a one-holer in a restaurant like that, but the food is worth it. Coconut ice cream, all the desserts. Make ya' slap your sister.
Make reservations. 'Had to have a tête-à-tête with the manager once about the uppity young man that bats for the other team telling me I didn't have a reservation, but it was resolved quickly and satisfactorily.

I forgot about Hattie's, very good place to eat.
There is also a grilled cheese place a few doors down from Hattie's that's great

We enjoyed it the few times we have dined there. No its not closing down, just under new ownership that states it will keep things pretty much the same. Sara Tillman and I have been friends since Jr High in Oak Cliff. Below is a get together at her place. I am the handsome Devil in the back left corner of the table with Sara
