Okay, Let me state first off, I am not trying to be cheap, I really am not... but I am trying to find the best product for the lowest price. I find no shame in that.... so, that being said, I need some help.. I mean, finding a good roof I have lots of plates spinning, so spending 750 or more on a roof for my ranger so looking to what all you guys have used. What I do not want to "cut costs on" are: 1 - Don't care for a canvas roof, rather spend more on a hard roof. 2 - Don't want a clip on style roof, would rather spend more on a 1-piece solid roof. I prefer not to go plastic, but am open to a good solid one that won't look like hell after a year or blow off if it gets hauled at 70mph I really want a metal roof, but don't care to spend 750 or more bucks on one of the fancy schmancy custom diamond plate steel hold-yer-house-on-the-roof models. So, any suggestions on something I might like and that would fit a 2013 Polaris Ranger Crew 500 LE? Not trying to be picky, just tired of looking at stuff.. heh.. figured someone smart here may have some suggestions. Thanks! R

Contact Ramball (Mike) on here and have him custom build you one. It will be cheaper and exactly like you want. This should give you some ideas: https://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/snw/5702979277.html2 biggest things you want on the roof: 1) lip around the edges so the rain/dew/water doesn't run off the roof and straight down on the passengers. you want it funneled to the sided and back/front. 2) bottom of the roof lined or they transfer major heat in the summer. glue carpet to the bottom. it makes a big difference.

I built the one on my Transmule out of 1/2" plywood and it turned out great IMO. I have less than $100 into it and its solid as a rock. Bad angle on the finished pic, but here it is.

Fortress roof is the way to go. Strong enough to stand on to fill feeders if needed.

I sent him a text but no reply. I figure a basic roof would run me about $500, which is all I really need. I can add the other stuff later I am sure.

I went the pro box top with bluetooth radio on my 2014 crew and love it other than when it rains it dumps water in your lap without a windshield in place.
