There is a place to the West of Eastland I think it is Rust processing in Cisco. Only used them a couple of times. I'm sure someone that hunts that area regularly will chime in.

We've always gone to Ray's grocery in Breckenridge. Haven't had any problems.
Down the street from Ray's, there's a restaurant called the L&L. They have a breakfast buffet. It may seem like a good idea at the time, but don't do it. Just don't. You can write off the rest of your afternoon from sleep coma if you do.
Don't say you weren't warned.

Rust Deer Plant has been in business quite a few years. I used them many years ago, very pleased.

Have you tried the processor in Carbon? I've been using them for the last two seasons with no problems.

I did and was very disappointed in what I got back. I took two deer to them a week apart and on both the deer the hamburger had all sorts of veins, etc in it. So much so that my wife will not eat it. But I am glad to hear that you are happy and did not have any problems because they are so much closer to me.

Rust Deer Plant between Cisco and Eastland - under new ownership now and it is MUCH better! There is another place in Strawn that is good but haven't been there in a few years. Can't recall the name other than the owners name is Dude - yes Dude!

Before the season starts get with him and explain your displeasure. I'm sure Jody will make sure it is processed the way like it.

Don't say you weren't warned. I live in Breckenridge,,L&L is kinda nasty. New place opened for breakfast headed toward Wal-Mart on the north side of 180 called Su Casa,,pretty good. As far as Ray's yea nice and clean but I don't like any of the sausage he does. Been using Dude in Strawn the past couple of years and am very happy. TD's Deer Processing 940-452-1990 he goes by Dude..

Never used his processing though.

I have used Rust Deer Plant, on Hwy 6, west of Eastland, for five or six years and had been pleased with their work until last year. New ownership, nice people, but seemed a bit disorganized. Took in two orders and had some problems with both. Hopefully, things will run better this year.

Did you get your "own" deer back or do you think it was mixed in with others?

I was pretty impressed with Sissy's, and there's a place on the frontage road in Cisco that's good, but pricey. Always enjoy trying new breakfast places. Lord willing, I'll try the dude's place this year.
