Do you guys eat Eurasian collared dove? In the places I hunt I get mostly mourning dove, but I have killed a few Eurasian's and I fried them up like mourning dove and No Bueno. So do you guys eat them? And if yes how do you cook them?

I like to marinate doves in a blackberry or raspberry jam, chupacabra rub, and minced garlic mixture overnight, then saute them in butter for a few minutes.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Just a bigger piece of meat, imho makes it worth cleaning them just that much more. Bigger wrap or try one of the sauté recipes.

A guy I work with got me hooked on the Chupacabra rub and I use it on everything (grilled veggies, chicken, shrimp, brisket, etc.). Give it a whirl, you won't be disappointed. Their salsa and sausage is pretty good too. http://www.2gringoschupacabra.com/

Thanks guys, looks like I will be trying them again. I like the marinate idea, never heard of "chupacabra rub" but I believe you. The kids said they wouldn't eat a dove wrapped with a jalapeno (too spicy) but sauted in this mixture doves don't last long. The kids love to sit around the tray and just stab the doves with a toothpick and eat'em up. here's the link for chupacabra and you can get it at HEB http://www.2gringoschupacabra.com/. We put it on everything. I personally think it's best on beer can chicken.

I've seen their salsa in my HEB but will have to keep an eye out for the seasoning.
