It's not legal but shooting them is about the only thing that works. They will do a pretty good number on the fish populations as well. Worthless bird.

Is it a private lake? I seem to remember something about being able to get a permit if they are destructive to ag production. Probably just fish farms or something not sure.

Is it a private lake? I seem to remember something about being able to get a permit if they are destructive to ag production. Probably just fish farms or something not sure. AR-15 ? 300 Blackout ? Shooting a rifle in the air? There are house in the background....

Now you have to apply for the permit through USFWS. I don't want to give the feds any reason to mess with me.

Those things should be shot w a limit of 20 a day. I see em by the thousand when it gets duck season it's insane

No it's on Sam Rayburn. Wish they would give us a season on em. Was out fishing and they just kept coming in

Nuisance, but we used to catch a lot of catfish with red wigglers right under the trees. The fish I guess thought it was another water turkey crapping!

Nuisance, but we used to catch a lot of catfish with red wigglers right under the trees. The fish I guess thought it was another water turkey crapping! I do the same, but with a freelined (weightless) chicken gizzard. Call it 'splat fishing' as the gizzard makes a splat noise jus tlike one those nasty bastages taking a crap.

I have caught fish before that were injured from them... Took me a while figure out what it was, they chase them and hook them with their nasty beak.
