Very slow... Slow enough that I decided to come home tonight so I can hunt around here tomorrow. Ready for bow season though!
You can run but you can't hide...

Maybe the extras rains this year have something to do with bird population? down here near Brenham tx, birds are gone, headed up to Waco this am for some hunts. Have the Annual Hunt permit here, lots of land area there to check out next couple days.....
hunt safe....

Was much better yesterday. Killed 11 and missed a few easy ones but also killed a few that I shouldn't have so it wasn't really limit out in 45 minutes like I'm used to in coleman but still a great time haha

I think we have trained these birds well. Wednesday there were hundreds of birds. Then Thursday with the rain and mud I was able to get half a dozen. Then the other hunters hunted Friday through Sunday ( 10 of them) and by Sunday evening the birds were all gone. I think when all the shooting starts they head out off our place. Weird looking over 40 acres on sunflowers and not seeing but 4 birds all evening.
They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!

That is the same story all the time. Fields get shot out if you hunt them day after day. I did the season lease before and unless you hunted opening day and next morning, birds are gone. Would take weeks for front to push more down.
