Anyone hunting whitney or aquilla this year? I hunted it last year on whitney and was overrun with hogs. Killed 3 but could have killed more. I hope they have moved on because I think they had the deer run out last year. Good luck to everyone this year.

Guess I got it by myself. I guess I will have plenty of pork chops this year.

You're right about the hogs out there, came across a group of them while turkey hunting last spring. #4 to the head rolled that sucker.

I just sent in info to get a permit and am scouting by Google Earth now. I should have a few bow hunts out there this year.

I hunt there every year. Last year I managed to stay away from hogs.

no your not alone just renewed my permit last night. Have hunted B1 the last two season with no kills, looking at trying out area B-4 this year. I did the same thing you did Leveled, just not wanting to drive to the south end or east side.

Would love to thin out some of those hogs. I may hunt Aquilla some this year.

Been a long time, but I hunted Whitney for years. If you have a boat, I could let you in on a couple of good spots up near the Nolan river area. PM me if your interested.

I will hunting H-1 opening day, lots of hog sign. I hope they don't push the deer out of the area.

There should be at least one position for the second drawing on the gun deer antlerless at Lake Whitney. I was drawn but I'm letting it go. This year, I am in the fortunate position of having more hunting opportunities than I have time for. Good luck!
