Just wondering if anyone has been around this area lately and if there are any birds this year. I get to go opening weekend every year but unfortunately I never get to go scout. I have had some good hunts the last 6 or 7 years but last year wasn't very good. Just wasn't many birds around. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I hunted this morning near Dawson (Navarro) and never fired a cap. My place had a few birds a couple weeks ago but this rain moved them on out. Good luck to you sir!

Well went Saturday morning in Coolidge and got a limit. I had to work for it though. Not a ton of birds but enough to shoot at. The landowner said he had very good numbers a few days before but the rain had pushed quite a few out. Still a good time none the less.
