We hunted in Breckenridge for 4 days. There were 3 of us and for the most part we all limited out every day. I only took one photo from one of the afternoons. We were doing real well out by the Prison hunting across from a sunflower field that no one seemed to be hunting.

It wasn't exactly two limits, but as a father, there is something incredibly rewarding about walking your own land and watching your two sons shoot them out of the sky.

Happy Labor Day.

Didn't take any pics of birds but there were thousands of
em on some wheat fields just N of Throckmorton. To light a cigar
or take a drink I had to put my head down so my hat would hide
what was going on. The lodge was up on high plateau overlooking
the wheat fields. After the morning hunt a few of the hunters
went top water sight casting for frogs and we ate those for dinner.
After dark a bud and I took our thermals out and whacked a handful
of pigs and there were a hundred or more just in the one field
we drove into. Will get a video up on the hog hunts in a few
days. It was a good couple of days.

Four days, four hunters, less than 10 birds short of a full 16 limits, but we did not hunt the afternoon of the 4th day. banana

Puddin's fields were magnificent! The weather was the coolest we've had for opener in years. The only negative was the mosquitoes.

Since possession limit is only three limits, we made sure we were legal on the way home by dining on dove poppers Friday night.
