No question, those are the most misunderstood and frequently debated words when it comes to dove hunting. While some might call it a gray area when it comes to interpretation, others see it plain and clear. If there is clear evidence that whatever you're hunting over was put there to feed livestock or create a harvest, you're good.
My best dove hunt ever was in a soybean field a few days after it was harvested. They were leftover beans everywhere and plenty of birds trying to clean them up. With a harvest having been completed, it was completely legal to hunt the field.
On the other hand, it costs me a $350 fine for hunting a field that a guy thought he had prepared in such a way that it would be legal to hunt over. He had disked the area well and scattered a lot of seeds over it. With so many of the seeds being uncovered, it was obvious his intention wasn't to plant a crop, but to attract doves.

Well hopefully he reimbursed you for your fine for his negligence.

Well hopefully he reimbursed you for your fine for his negligence. It was a friend of the friend that invited me to the hunt. My friend also had his new boss with him at the time. Not a good way to begin a working relationship.

Yeah, don't listen to me. I'm just an idiot.
Lol. Duckbill that was funny! The dude up top has already taken lots of bone before this deer, both mule and whitetail.
