Funny, I was just reading that.
Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

I would have killed them. They are way to dangerous to have around where people and dogs frequent. I have tried that relocation crap only to have a snake return the next night.
I'll take a Black Female every time.

My money is on the fact that Mr. Sutton has never lost a prized mutt to a snake bite. Neither have I but I plan to try and keep it that way with avoidance training, Red Rocks vaccine and #71/2 shot.

Nuts! So now we know where the old migratory forum trolls went. They typically aren't very bad at all on that forum. I shoot every single snake I come across, and porcupines, skunks, and hogs for that matter.
Say When.....

Interesting thread, thank you for sharing Mundo. I don't find any harm or wrongful actions in killing some rattlers in a field that is often frequented by humans and dogs.

You should first collar your dogs when you see a rattlesnake.

Porcupines and venomous snakes always get the death penalty. No exceptions. Too many bad experiences with both. God gave us dominion over "every creeping thing that creeps on the earth" for a reason!

I never kill anything. I just train it to play dead so I can take pictures of it. Even if its training with a shovel.

I shot this one last week in the backyard. My Brit had it pinned down and was telling me all about it.... the trusty .410 removed the toothy part.
